Technologies
At Éclat MD, we select dermatology-validated technologies to address your skin concerns with precision, comfort, and safety. Discover microneedling, photodynamic therapy (PDT), Erbium-YAG & Nd:YAG lasers, chemical peels, and exosomes — five complementary approaches for healthier, smoother, and more radiant skin.
A Medical Approach, Not Just Aesthetic
Before any treatment, our dermatologists assess your skin, medical history, and goals. We then create a customized protocol: precise indication, choice of technology, adjusted settings, number of sessions, and post-treatment care. Our priority: natural results, safe, and long-lasting outcomes, achieved using evidence-based techniques.
Microneedling
How It Works
Microneedling uses motorized micro-needles to create tiny micro-channels on the skin’s surface. This controlled stimulation triggers the production of collagen and elastin (neocollagenesis), improves texture, smooths irregularities, and enhances the absorption of active ingredients (e.g., hyaluronic acid). The skin gradually becomes more firm, smooth, and visibly refreshed.
Treated Conditions
Acne scars and texture irregularities
Early wrinkles and fine lines
Enlarged pores and uneven skin texture
Stretch marks (depending on their appearance and color)
Dull complexion, lack of radiance
Sessions typically last 30 to 45 minutes. A numbing cream can be applied for added comfort. After treatment: mild redness (1–2 days), temporary warmth or tightness. Most patients resume their activities the next day. Results are gradual, often planned over 3 to 6 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, with a maintenance plan tailored to your goals.
Expected Results
A quick glow can appear within 7–10 days. Improvements in texture and firmness develop over 4–8 weeks (collagen remodeling time) and progress with each session. A typical protocol includes 3 to 6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, with occasional maintenance based on your goals. Scars and stretch marks often require multiple treatments for visible and lasting results.
Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)
How It Works
PDT combines a photosensitizing agent applied to the skin with a specific light source. The agent is activated by the light and selectively targets certain structures or bacteria, reducing inflammation, regulating sebaceous activity, and promoting healthier skin renewal. This approach is known for its effectiveness on certain forms of acne and selected lesions.
Treated Conditions
- Inflammatory acne (reduces lesions and inflammation)
Seborrhea / excess sebum
Certain benign skin lesions (case by case, after medical evaluation)
Procedure & Recovery
After cleansing, the photosensitizing agent is applied and left for a contact time (according to protocol). The area is then exposed to light for a few minutes. Expect redness and sensitivity for 24–72 hours, with strict photoprotection instructions (avoid sun/UV exposure as advised). A protocol typically includes 2 to 4 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart, with clinical assessment of progress.
Expected Results
A reduction in inflammatory lesions and shine is often observed after 1–2 sessions, with a cumulative benefit over 4–6 weeks. The skin appears more stable and less reactive over 2 to 4 sessions (spaced 2–4 weeks apart). Results are reinforced with photoprotection and an appropriate skincare routine, with occasional maintenance recommended depending on progress.
Erbium-YAG and Nd-YAG Lasers
How It Works
The Erbium-YAG and Nd-YAG lasers are used to treat various skin imperfections with targeted light energy.
- The Erbium-YAG laser primarily works on the skin’s surface. It allows for very precise epidermal resurfacing, ideal for improving skin texture, smoothing fine lines, and treating certain superficial lesions.
- The Nd-YAG laser penetrates deeper into the dermis. It is used to stimulate collagen, treat redness, vascular or pigmented lesions, and enhance skin firmness.
Treated Conditions
Fine lines and uneven texture (Er:YAG)
Superficial scars (post-acne, for example)
Redness, visible vessels, rosacea (Nd:YAG, case-dependent)
Certain pigmented spots and photoaging (clinical selection)
Procedure & Recovery
Duration varies by area (20–45 min). Topical anesthesia may be used. After Er:YAG, expect more pronounced erythema and mild to moderate peeling for a few days; after Nd:YAG, effects are generally lighter (transient redness). The number of sessions is personalized (often 1 to 3 for Er:YAG, 2 to 4 for Nd:YAG), with essential photoprotection and recommended at-home care.
Expected Results
Erbium-YAG: skin becomes smoother and more even with initial visible improvement after peeling (a few days) and texture enhancement that continues over 4–8 weeks. Often 1–3 sessions are sufficient depending on the goal.
Nd:YAG: gradual reduction of redness/visible vessels over 2–4 weeks, often planned in 2–4 sessions. Results are progressive and stabilize with photoprotection and targeted care.
In both cases, effects are cumulative; maintenance may be recommended to preserve radiance and even skin tone.
Chemical Peel
How It Works
A chemical peel involves applying a specific solution to the skin to stimulate cell turnover. Depending on the chosen depth, it can act superficially to smooth and even out the skin, or more deeply to correct scars and irregularities. A consultation allows determining the most suitable type of peel and the ideal concentration for each patient.
Treated Conditions
- Superficial scars and post-acne irregularities
- Dull complexion and uneven texture
- Mild to moderate pigmentation spots
- Early wrinkles and fine lines
- Overall improvement in radiance and skin evenness
Expected Results
The skin gradually becomes more smooth, even, and radiant, with reduction of superficial scars and irregularities. Visible improvement in tone and texture can appear after 1 to 2 weeks, consolidating over 4 to 6 weeks. Effects are cumulative, and periodic maintenance may be recommended to sustain long-lasting results.
Exosomes
How It Works
Exosomes are tiny extracellular vesicles containing proteins, lipids, and growth factors that promote cellular regeneration. When applied to the skin, often in combination with microneedling or an infusion technique, they stimulate collagen and elastin production, aiding in tissue repair, improving texture, and restoring firmness and radiance.
Treated Conditions
Skin aging: early wrinkles and fine lines, loss of firmness
Superficial scars, including acne scars
Texture irregularities and enlarged pores
Dull complexion or lack of radiance
Mild stretch marks depending on their appearance and color
Procedure & Recovery
The session typically lasts between 30 and 45 minutes. Exosomes are applied either topically or injected superficially, often combined with microneedling to optimize penetration and effectiveness. A topical anesthetic can be used if needed to enhance comfort. After the treatment, mild redness or a sensation of warmth may occur for 1 to 2 days, but most patients resume their normal activities the next day.
Expected Results
Visible skin radiance noticeable within 7 to 10 days.
Progressive improvement in texture, firmness, and skin evenness over 4 to 8 weeks, thanks to collagen remodeling.
Scars and stretch marks often require multiple sessions for visible and lasting results.
Typical protocol: 3 to 6 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, with maintenance sessions as needed to meet goals.
